Rectangular, multi-coloured silk ikat bed cover or wall hanging, backed with machine printed, floral cotton textile. On the ikat side are 25 narrow vertical stripes of seven-colour warp-face ikat designs, separated by narrower, unpatterned green, yellow, or red-purple stripes. The weft is bright pink, giving the piece an over-all rosy appearance. The machine printed cotton backing textile is predominantly red, with brown, tan and white details, and the piece is bound on all four edges with bias cut green silk textile. Several lengths of ikat textile were pieced together to achieve the desired width.

Rectangular, multi-coloured silk ikat bed cover or wall hanging, backed with red, white and gray-blue machine printed cotton textile. The patterns on the ikat side are large and boldly colourful and are composed of six-colour warp-face ikat designs on three narrow vertical panels that have been stitched together to achieve the desired width. The silk weft is bright pink, giving the piece an overall rosy appearance. The cotton backing textile is loosely attached to the ikat silk with running stitches made with red thread. All edges are bound with green silk bias binding.

Rectangular suzani textile with dense appliqué designs on cream ground. In the centre are round red flowers and multicoloured floral motifs. Around the flowers are green vines arranged in a diamond pattern. There is a border around the edges with large round red flowers and circular green vines. The back lining is blue with a diagonal line pattern in white and dark blue. There is a strip of fabric with tabs for hanging sewn to the top edge.

Rectangular, multi-coloured silk ikat bed cover or wall hanging, constructed of three lengths of bright pink, white, blue-green and yellow warp-face ikat silk satin textile, seamed together vertically, and loosely quilted onto a backing of machine-printed cotton textile. The backing textile is pieced from two floral prints, one with orange and brown predominating, the other with red, yellow and brown predominating. The object is bound on all four edges with bright yellow-green silk dupioni textile, which forms a narrow edging on the front and a wider border on the back. Possibly used as a bed cover for a bride and groom.

Bag916/2

Flat, rectangular, decorative bag, made from two different types of textile. The front of the bag is made from very finely embroidered, multi-coloured textile with patterns that resemble an ikat weaving. The back of the bag is made from a cotton warp face ikat textile with large red and yellow patterning on an off-white background. All four edges of the front of the bag are finished with narrow multi-coloured tablet-woven braids. The sides and bottom edge of the bag are trimmed with dense, long (11 cm), multi-coloured, twisted fringe (red, dark yellow, purple, off-white, brown, green and blue). The opening of the bag is trimmed with four multi-coloured tassels. The front of the bag is lined with a loosely woven, printed, tan cotton textile.
