Very fine twined work weave. Has an oval shape. Design says 'MRS. REID / VANCOUVER / B.C.' in green and purple with a patterned orange, purple, and black band below. Encircled with two rows of burgundy. Sides have green, purple, and red animal and bird figures. One end has a potted plant and the other end has an arrow-like pattern. The rim also has two rows of burgundy.

A horizontal row of blue and yellow triangles goes around the bottom of the basket (part a), above which there are three green birds, and three red birds in a row. The side of the basket tapers into an upright rim. The lid (part b) is rounded and has a blue sunburst-like centre at the top with two purple, two pink, and two blue birds around it, and a horizontal row of purple around the side.
