Opium Weight3559/48 a-e

Set of five black metal weights of five different sizes (largest to smallest, parts a-e). Each weight is in the shape of a walking elephant with a hooked trunk and curved tail; all are standing on tiered oval-shaped platforms. The elephants ears are flat against their heads and they have open mouths; no space between their trunks and tusks. The largest elephant's trunk loops around, touching the top of its head; rest are hooked to the left side. All tails are curled towards the back right leg; there is no space in the centre of the smallest elephant's tail. Bases are all unmarked.

A watercolour painting which depicts a spiritual being with a four-legged animal crouching at its feet. The being has bright yellow skin. It is wearing a brown skirt that ends just below the knee and curls outward at the hip. The bottom of the skirt has a border made up of white, yellow, blue, and black horizontal stripes. The main body of the skirt is covered in thinner horizontal stripes, and consists of two pieces which come together in the front. A long, piece of fabric hangs down from the waist. Adornments are wrapped around the being's chest and neck. Decorative bands encircle its biceps, wrists, and ankles. The being has large, round eyes and a grinning fanged mouth. It is wearing a headpiece that comes to a point on both sides. Two large discs protrude from the sides of its head. The being is holding a large fork-like object in one hand, and an oblong grey object in the other. The animal at its feet is white, and has a long face, round back, and short mane and tail. The background of the painting is blue, and a rectangular black border surrounds the image. White and blue oblong rings radiate from the being's head and shoulders.

A watercolour painting which depicts a spiritual being with an elephant at its feet. The being is facing to the left, and has yellow skin, four arms, and five heads. It is wearing a brown skirt that ends at the knee. Decorations on both sides of the skirt curl outward at the hip. The bottom of the skirt has a border made up of white, blue, yellow, and brown horizontal stripes. The main body of the skirt is covered in thinner horizontal stripes, and consists of two pieces which come together in the front. A piece of fabric hangs down from the waistband, which is decorated with a repeating circular pattern. A blue, dotted sash is draped diagonally across the being's chest. Additional adornments wrap around its chest and neck, and decorative bands encircle its biceps, wrists, and ankles. Each of the being's five heads has a third eye in the centre of its forehead. The centre head is the largest, and has stretched earlobes which extend to its chin. It is wearing a tall, rounded headpiece with side panels that extend across both of its shoulders. There is a tiered, pointed adornment on the front of the headpiece. The other four heads are also wearing tall, rounded headpieces. All four of the being's arms are raised by its sides, and three are holding objects, including a white, oblong object, a yellow, rectangular object, and a small, rounded container with a pointed top and flat bottom. The elephant at the being's feet is kneeling, and has its trunk wrapped around one of the being's ankles. The elephant is blue, with short tusks, a long tail, and triangular ears. It is wearing a flat, white headpiece. The painting's background is turquoise, and a rectangular black border surrounds the image.

Black rectangular band with a red trim on all edges; alternating pink and blue square patches along length. Pink squares have geometric motifs, consisting of zigzags, plain lines and connected triangles forming squares. Blue squares have a central curvilinear design, consisting of swirls and a Greek key-like pattern in the corners; negative space filled with connected triangles. Top and bottom sections of band are bordered with coloured silk rows; done in bright blue, dark pink, and blue-grey.

Bracelet3559/44

Silver bracelet, with a hook clasp, made up of segmented bands; dividers are rectangular clips. Outer sections of bracelet consist of rows of braided metal, central segment is a curved panel with large raised circles across the centre; circles are bordered by tiers of rings. Outer edge of panel has curvilinear motifs engraved along it. Hook, on left end of bracelet, is covered by a square panel; decorations across it are identical to those on rectangular panel. Charms extend from top and bottom edges of bracelet, where the segments meet. Charms consist of circles with triangular protrusions on either side; small arches extend from all edges of circles. Two fish and an irregularly-shaped diamond are attached to the arches along the bottom edges. All of the fish are angular and have curved lines incised across their front and backs.

Dark purple silk sarong with stiff silver band along bottom edge. Thin patterned columns across main body of sarong, consisting of alternating lines and dots. Silver border along bottom alternates between rows of plain cloth and one with a grid-like design. Waistband is cotton and made up of two bands; first is plain light purple, second has multicoloured vertical stripes along length.

Long, rectangular dark green sarong with bands of concentric diamonds along length. Outer diamonds are done in dark brown, and decorated with light green dots, and inner diamonds are light green with dark brown "X"'s through their centres. Diamonds in second row from top are filled with four small dark brown diamonds with light green highlights. Top and bottom edges of sarong are undecorated.
