The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

A large cortex spall tool. The dorsal surface is covered entirely by a smooth, desaturated tan with a reddish tinge, and some darker speckling. The ventral surface has a tan to beige with a pink hue gradient, it has some reflective shiny particles giving it a shiny finish with a light coarse grain. There's a compression ring on the distal end, opposite side and end of the catalogue label, and two tiny flake scars.
A large primary flake. The dorsal surface is made up of a smooth yet porous Cortex, it's matte light tan with white speckles. The ventral surface is a gradient of deep desaturated brown to a saturated brown, with medium white mineral fragments and a coarse grain. There's a point of impact site near the distal end, with an indented flake ridge just below. The rest of the ventral surface remains unworked further than the inital removal.
A large hammerstone with some use-wear along the semi-pointed distal end. The dorsal surface is made up entirely of cortex; The cortex is a smooth saturated medium grey with some off-white/tan speckling throughout with some negative scarring and some possible rust staining lines. The ventral surface is a matte medium grey with some white speckling, and a very fine grain.
A large fragment, it's a desaturated semi-shiny tan with some white speckling. The dorsal surface is covered entirely by a very smooth brown white speckled cortex. There's a potential point of impact site on the distal end, to the right of the catalogue label. The ventral surface remains unworked aside from the inital removal process. There's a small harris line fracture above the catalogue number, visible from both the dorsal and ventral surface. The ventral surface also has some tiny patches of possible rust stains along the proximal end.
A medium sized utilized flake. It is a saturated tan with some less saturated sections, white speckles, and a coarse grain. The dorsal surface sports a dull and slightly jagged sanded-down bevelled edge, a single flake removal site and some negative scars. The ventral surface remains unworked aside from the inital flake removal.
A small tertiary flake, it's a smooth matte grey with a super fine grain. On the distal end of the doral surface, there's the remnants of a point of impact site and an erailleur scar near the edge of the compression ring. There's also some negative scars, and compression ripples near the outer edge. The ventral surface has a large rounded bulb of percussion taking up a quarter of the surface area, with some compression ripples near the flattened proximal end.
A flat medium sized fragment. It is a matte medium grey with some reflective shiny particles, and a coarse yet fine grain. The dorsal surface has a compression ring to the upper left of the catalogue number along the distal edge. The ventral surface has a compression ring with some compression ripples extending lengthwise from the lower right of the catalogue number, along the proximal end.
A medium sized secondary flake, it is a dark glossy grey with a smooth very fine grain finish. There's a tiny strip of smooth matte light grey cortex along the jagged spine of the belonging. The dorsal surface has a couple notable features; a point of impact site, some compression rings in different locations, some flake arrises, and some negative scarring. The ventral surface has the remnants of a point of impact site, a bulb of percussion, a compression ring, and the leftover remains of a compression ring branching off from the dorsal surface.
A medium sized secondary flake, potentially a utilized flake. It is a dark semi-glassy dark grey with some reflective shiny particles, and a very fine-grain. There's a small patch of smooth matte light grey cortex along the bottom of the thicker end. The dorsal surface has a flake ridge in the middle with some smaller flake removal scarring. Near the thicker end, there's a compression ring and the remnants of a bulb of percussion. The ventral surface has a single compression ring with no other worked features.
A medium sized secondary flake; it's a semi-glassy dark grey with some reflective shiny particles, and a very fine grain. Some smooth matte light grey cortex is present along one the pointed edges. The dorsal surface has some flake removal scars, and a compression ring with some compression ripples. Near the compression ring and the fine point, there's the remnants of a point of impact site. The ventral surface is exposed with no additonal worked features aside from some negative scarring.
