Harpoon for whales. The catalogue card details the following information, found on an old card on Mr.Paterson' s desk . Harpoon with metal point, elk horn barbs decorated with Haietlik, i.e the mythical snake. It is said that when the thunderbird wishes to kill a whale he hurls the Haietlik at it, which spears the body of the whale like a harpoon. The rope is made of whale sinew strengthened in twine. The loop is covered with cherry bark. The harpoon head is covered with spruce gum. The line attached to the harpoon head is extremely long and thick. This harpoon is very probably 1925.333 as the description of the two objects is identical and one, 1925.333 is listed as missing.; Good

Fish hook with bone barb bound onto a lightweight wooden arm with sinew. The arm rounded on one side and has a hole in the centre through which a sinew line passes.; Good

Large bent halibut hook with iron barb lashed into place on the upper arm with split spruce root. The lower tapering arm has a slightly shaped tapering end. Attached to the lower arm is a length of tightly coiled split spruce root which is joinedto a flat tapering blade of wood.; Good

A harpoon head with horn socket and iron spike. The iron is mounted onto the horn by binding with fine string, attached also is a length of string, the harpoon line, which is neatly coiled.; Good

A large halibut hook made from two pieces of wood lashed together with split spruce root. An iron barb is lashed into place also with split spruce root. The lower arm is carved in the form of a bird, possibly a raven, with a hollowed out head andlegs. The remains of the leader line can be seen in a hole in the centre of the bird' s body.; Good

Harpoon head of bone, finely cut with overlapping cusped barbs. The blunt end is pierced for the line to be attached, and has an area of cross-hatching.; Good

A long thin ?seal skin quiver with a stitched rounded base. The fur is slightly worn away in places.The tip of a black stone arrowhead was found at the bottom of quiver, it is mounted with the quiver in Box 49.D.2.; Good.
