Red clay vessel (part a) with a lid (part b). Pot has three impressed, textured panels around the upper sides. They consist of fifteen to seventeen horizontal bands that have incised vertical lines within, ending in seven to eight knobs at either end. In between these panels, there is an upward facing bird. The lid has three birds ranged around the sides with an incised tree-like form in between.
Red-brown pot in the form of a rooster (part a). Water poured through hole in the back and out through the open mouth. With a small, rounded, conical stopper (part b).
Pot made of red clay with rounded base and shoulder and a vertical lip around the mouth. Decorated with an incised semi-circule and linear design around the mouth. Black discolourations as a result of firing.
Long pin that tapers to a sharp point at one end and has a round disk at the other end. Cream coloured. Small hole on underside of disk in the centre.
Bottle with bulbous bottom (part a) and long tubular cap (part b). Stripes of black and white goat hair around the perimeter.
Large cream robe with embroidery. The cotton is woven into strips which are then sewn together to make a wide robe. The neck and shoulder area is hand embroidered with local silk in a traditional Hausa pattern with hand spun cotton and locally produced silk. The pattern features circles and two downward pointing needles.
Rectangular textile consisting of three long rectangular pieces hand sewn together in the top corners. The design consists of a repeating pattern of yellow bands with various geometric designs. All of the panels are similar.
Grater made from a shoe polish can lid (a) and base (b). The lid has been pierced overall from the inside. Painted inscriptions on sides of both parts and on bottom of base.
