Circular basket with flaring sides (a) and wooden mold (b); mould is sold brown wood with a knob-like handle in the centre. Ten multicoloured figurative images woven into swamp grass. Crossed cedar bark in centre of bottom.

Basketry-covered pottery jar. Base: plain twined or wicker-weave in coarse grass. Sides: wrapped twined weave with openwork of crossed warp. Two bands of openwork frame two bands with faded designs. Two narrow bands of purple near the base complete the decoration. The jar which forms the frame of the basket is glazed in dark brown (possibly a Chinese ginger jar). Colour: natural.

Below the figure are three abstract shapes. All are orange, outlined in purple with green, blue, yellow, purple and pink detailing. The ground is red with black, orange, green, blue, pink, yellow and purple stripes. The panel has a red fabric backing. The edges are raw. The bottom right corner has a fabric tag attached that reads: ‘Authentic San Blas Indian Mola, Handmade in Panama’.
