Long, rectangular cotton textile made of woven narrow strips, sewn together and embroidered. The decoration consists of a grey ground with geometric designs embroidered in red, black and brown intermixed and overlapping with stripes of red, black and blue. There is one section with a repeating blue elephant design.

Textile with brocaded geometric designs in red, white, yellow and green on a background of alternating horizontal red and black bands. The ends are fringed.

Long rectangular cotton cloth made of three panels sewn lengthwise by hand. The design consists of blue and red stripes on a cream ground. Along the ends are a thin band of blue and white embroidered chevrons along with a twisted fibre fringe.

Mask depicting red face with squinted eyes, large bulbous nose, dimples in chin, red lips and slightly open mouth showing two teeth; chin is made to look as though it is a separate piece that is attached with black rope at either side; carved lines across forehead and around cheeks. String attached to back of mask through two holes on sides. Cloth base built up with lacquer, which is later carved and polished.

Lady with her head turned back over her right shoulder, carrying an open parasol. Snow falling. Kimono in dark blue, tan, black and white with a red printed obi. Brown background. Black mount. Japanese characters in black and a red symbol on bottom left side.

Folding hand fan covered in sheer white fabric; scrolling bamboo ribs. Fan is painted with blue trim and several branches with green leaves and white blossoms. a wristlet made from a thin purple cord is attached to the fan's base.

Plain wooden sheath in two parts (parts c and d) bound with rope, red fibre and gauze-like cloth. Wooden handle (part b) sheathed in copper or brass and grip bound with string. Slightly curving blade (part a) stamped with anchor-like design.

Round box (a) covered in dark blue fabric with a raised abstract flower-like design on the lid (b). The inside of the box is white and padded. The underside of the lid features bright, polychrome brocade patterned cotton with a mirror in the centre.

Two small red and brown birds with blue wings perched on a blossoming cherry tree with red flowers and brown branches. Frame is painted red and grey on face. Colours are brown, red, blue and yellow.

Elaborately carved rectangular wooden panel depicting three quails perched under a millet plant; carvings are three-dimensional, bordered by a thick frame, and incorporate expanses of open space. Colours used are yellow, green and brown.
