Hat2902/45

Small hat with flaps across back and on sides. Back flap is pink with green and blue geometric patterns. Triangular ear flaps are white with pink, blue, orange and green geometric patterns. There is a long blue piece of fabric attached to the interior of the right ear flap, and a loop of fabric on the opposite side. Top of hat has alternating black and blue triangular sections with applique swirl and zig zag design. Black sections have white applique with pink and green stitching. Blue sections have red applique with green and pink stitching. Top of hat has a circular silver repoussed metal disc with a pink pompom coming out of a hole in the centre.

There is a green piece of fabric attached to the right ear flap and tied to a piece of green wool which attaches to the left ear flap. Top of hat has alternating black and blue triangular sections with anchor shaped applique design and triangle pattern beneath. Black sections have white applique with pink and green stitching. Blue sections have red applique with yellow and green stitching. Top of hat has a circular silver repoussed metal disc with a knot of yellow, green, and pink wool coming out of a hole in the centre.

Hat2902/41

Small hat with black trim and alternating black and blue triangle sections with applique anchor shaped design with triangle pattern below. In blue sections, appliques are red with yellow and blue stitching. In black sections, appliques are white with pink and green stitching. A large red pompom sits on top of the hat. The interior is pink, and there is a single loop on one side of the edge of the hat.

Small hat with blue starburst design on top with pink and black triangular sections coming down from it, all outlined in white. Bottom half has colourful embroidery in geometric pattern. There are five large pink pompoms on the top of the hat, the largest one on the centre of the starburst, and four smaller pompoms surrounding it. There are two pink wool loops on either side, perhaps used as ties.

Hat2902/38

Small black hat with colourful embroidered designs. Front of hat has a blue semi-circle flap that sticks out and is situated between two green embroidered squares with swirl designs, outlined in a light blue rectangle. Pointed orange, pink, blue and green embroidery decorates the back bottom half of the hat. Small pink pompoms line the bottom edge. The top of the hat is covered in pink wool tassles that are attached to the hat with short strings of coloured beads. There are two small green loops of wool on either side of the hat, perhaps used for ties.

Small hat with blue and black triangular sections around the centre. Top and bottom of hat have colourful embroidery and flower (?) design. There are twelve large red pompoms and three yellow pompoms that cover the top half of the hat, and small red pompoms line the bottom edge. Interior is dark blue.

Jacket2902/66

Dark blue jacket with open front. Sleeves are black and have appliqued patch with geometric embroidery. Cuffs have blue trim and arm seams have red trim. A thin rectangular piece of fabric forms the collar with a strip of red on the bottom of the right side. Bottom of jacket is trimmed in red with round white beads decorating the edges. There are thin lines of embroidery along the bottom, embellished with three vertical rows of colourful buttons on either side. This pattern continues on the bottom of the back of the jacket also. There are slits in the sides of the jacket with a loop of round white beads and a tuft of red fur (?) with a tassle on the end hanging from the top of the slit. The right tassle is multi-coloured and the left tassle is white. Back of jacket is covered in horizontal lines of colourful embroidery embellished with four rows of white buttons. Bottom edges are lined in round white beads.

Blouse2813/12 a-b

An undyed, coarsely woven cotton blouse with embroidered shoulders, chest panel, back panel, long sleeves, and cuffs. The embroidered designs consist of leaves, flowers, lines, and criss-cross designs. The design on the shoulders consists of multi-coloured leaves, and flowers created with blue lines and light purple hatching. The embroidery on the chest consists of one blue and one multi-coloured flower with multi-coloured leaves that have been bordered with red hatching (outside) and blue hatching (inside). The embroidery on the back consists of two blue flowers with multi-coloured leaves that have been bordered with red hatching (outside) and blue hatching (inside). The back also contains a sewn blue line that runs from the back embroidery to the neck opening above. The sleeves display a multi-coloured leaf and flower motif that is bordered with green hatching. The cuffs of the blouse are closed with black buttons and braided blue yarn fasteners. The embroidered design on the cuffs depict multi-coloured leaves and dark blue flowers edged with dark pink ribbon, light pink hatching, and an orange-red line. The separate strap (b) consists of purple-pink acrylic ribbon, and the ends have been sewn together with green thread that forms a loop. Looped into this green strap is a smaller braid of green and pink-purple that has been tied to form a second loop.

Dress2813/14

Undyed coarsely woven cotton fabric with embroidered neck panel, shoulders, bottom, and seam edges. There is a design of an abstracted bird, a symbol, and geometric imagery on the neck panel, the shoulders, and along the bottom of the garment. Most seams of the blouse have been sewn with a criss-cross pattern of red and brown. The edges of the sleeves have a red edge on the front and a brown edge on the back. The edge along the bottom of the blouse has been sewn with a criss-cross pattern of red and black. On the front of the blouse, under the left sleeve, is a wavy line of purple embroidery.

Undyed and coarsely woven cotton fabric with embroidered neck panel, shoulders, bottom, and seam edges. There is a depiction of an abstracted dog figures, a symbol, and a geometric pattern along the bottom of the blouse. There are two rectangles outlined in red-orange on either side of the neck with four vertical stripes of coloured embroidery. The colour scheme within the left rectangle reads as follows, from left-to-right: dark purple, green, light purple-pink, and yellow. The colour scheme within the right rectangle reads as follows, from left-to-right: light purple-pink, green, dark purple, yellow, and light purple-pink. There is a zigzag pattern in green and light purple-pink on the shoulders. There is also a thin vertical line of dark purple towards the ends of the sleeves. Two short horizontal rows of green and red-orange embroidery have been applied to the centre of the blouse, below the neck opening.
