Palm-handled awl. Circular wooden handle has flattened end and tapers to a metal neck-ring. Spherical metal blade projects from within metal neck-ring, which has an indentation on either side. The short metal blade tapers to a point and appears to have been worked or filed to achieve that point.

Cigarette case with hinged lid. The body is carved from one piece of wood with a beveled edge. The lid is attached with metal hinge and is carved in relief with a maple leaf, a moose head, a scalloped border, and numeric symbols in the lower corners. Carved in relief on the maple leaf is a moose head with inscriptions: C.E.F. 225 KOOTENAY BATTALION CANADA.

Sample Textile1766/21

Silk, rectangular shaped textile sample with a different floral pattern at either end and blue borders at both ends. One floral pattern is rounded light pink and yellow flowers and greenery. The other floral pattern is pointed red flowers with matching green leaves. Japanese symbols are printed on one side of the latter floral pattern. Textile sample has been covered with a paste adhesive and is hardened and wrinkled.
