Bowl2990/353 a-b

Large gray-brown burnished bowl with rounded base and flaring rim (part a). Terracotta with fire clouds. Painted and incised decoration of a three-winged forehead ornament. Six red-brown and brown geometrical incised motifs and a horizontal line on the inner rim. Well preserved traces of red-brown, orange-red and yellow-brown pigments. Molded manufacture. Breakage partially repaired. A piece of the bowl with painted and incised decoration in the outer left side is part b. The interior has a horizontal line and a geometrical motif in red-brown paint.

Bowl2990/345

Wide flaring terracotta bowl, rounded gambrel, partially burnished surface. Painted and incised decoration. Exterior band with two feline faces and profile bodies (to right) flanking a frontal humanoid deity face. Feline has triangular eyes, reed stamp nose, and brow whisker with horizontal lines dotted at both ends on the sides. Feline body has double and single reed stamp circles, an "eye of god” motif between its legs and a downward curved tail. Deity has nose in relief, short mouth with teeth but no fangs, and stylized hair band. Vertical bands extend above and below deity's eyes. Arms are raised at sides. Panel with three reed stamp circles on the right end. At the centre of the red-brown interior is an incised vencejo (bird) panel. Orange-red and traces of white, black and yellow paints. An un-incised guilloche is painted in orange-red and white on the interspace. Moulded manufacture. Breakage repaired.

Jar with flared, flat base, globular body, tall flaring upper portion and side strap vertical handle. Terracotta with cream, orange-red and brown-red slip. Fine line decoration of geometric and spiral motifs representing waves in upper portion, spout and inner rim. Painted geometric designs in globular body, panel of three motifs: crossed vertical and horizontal lines, five double circles, and four triangles and small squares with circles. Animal head at top of handle and bird atop rim on opposite side, both with crossed red-brown lines. Polished surface. Molded manufacture. Broken and restored.

Vertical stirrup spout bottle in mountain form with small pedestal. Terracotta with cream and red-brown slip. Painted in fineline with snail gathering scene. Lines divide three ecological levels, each with characteristic flora and fauna – snails and a fox. The elites wear typical snail-collecting regalia, including a turban and a tunic, hold a handled basket to carry the snails in and a stick to skewer the snails. Modeled snail on each of three peaks. Burnished surface. Breakage repaired.
