White collar with embroidery and brass frog closure. The collar is rounded at the back and pointed at the ends. On the front are butterfly and peony motifs in pink, purple, blue, green, yellow and gold. There is pink trim around the edges. The back lining is white cotton.

Cantonese Opera ArmourN1.683 a

Black armour robe with slender sleeves, epaulets and a side opening with brass frog fasteners. Below the waist, the armour divides into one front panel and three back panels. On the front are fu dog, butterfly, cash, sun and prunus motifs in silver, green, pink, red, purple and orange on a black ground. The collar band has butterfly motifs in silver, pink, yellow, green and white. The sleeves have butterfly, peony, prunus, and swastika motifs in silver, pink, white, blue, purple and green. On the back are bat, fish, endless knot, peony, prunus and chrysanthemum motifs in silver, pink, purple, green, blue and orange on a black ground. On each of the large back panels there are five tassels in yellow, green, orange, light and dark pink. On the front are three large tassels in orange, yellow and pink. There are green glass eyes, tin reflectors, white fur and hexagonal mirrors on the front and back. The inside lining is white cotton.

Embroidered Applique1458/1

Embroidered floral appliques adhered to a sheet of yellow-white paper. There are two corner pieces with brown-gold bases, green leaves and white flowers. Some white flowers have black centres. There are two curved centre pieces with brown-gold branches, green leaves and white flowers.

Embroidered Applique1458/7

Embroidered appliques adhered to a sheet of yellow-white paper. The bat is purple, pink and dark blue with wings that have a scalloped edge to one side and curl at the ends. One wing has a bluish tinge. Beneath the bat are two flowers and blue-green leaves. The smaller flower is pink with pointed flowers. The larger flower has four oval-shaped petals with holes in the centre. The petals are white-yellow on the inside and dark blue around the outside.

Embroidered Applique1458/9

Embroidered appliques adhered to a large sheet of yellow-white paper. The centre piece is a figure in a white robe holding a Ruyi sceptre and sitting upon a blue-green dragon. There is a second figure holding a green banner while leaning on the dragon's tail. The surrounding pieces create an outdoor scene with a road, black fence and greenery. Among the scene are symbols including bats, butterflies, a pair of scrolls and a pair of circular gold ornaments.

Embroidered Applique1458/2

Embroidered applique bat adhered to a large sheet of yellow-white paper. The bat has a blue and green head with yellow eyes. The bat's lopsided wings have a scalloped edge to one side and curl at the ends. One wing is blue and green, while the other is blue and pink. On each side of the bat is a barbed leaf. Corresponding to the bat's wings, one leaf is blue and green, the other is blue and pink.

Embroidered Applique1613/3 a-c

Three sheets of embroidery appliques adhered to paper. Part a is a large sheet of yellow-white paper with the centre piece being a figure in a red-white robe holding a branch and sitting upon a blue-green dragon. There are also two figures dressed in green holding fans over their shoulders, a figure dressed in blue holding a fan on a long pole, a gold sun and blue-green clouds. There is a sword with flowers and ribbons, and three vases filled with blue-green flowers. Part b is an embroidery adhered to a sheet of yellow-white paper of a blue vase upon a green pedestal with a pink-white chrysanthemum in the centre. The vase is filled with greenery, blue and red flowers. Part c is an embroidery adhered to a sheet of yellow-white paper of a light brown pair of castanets and a dark brown flute with a blue ribbon.

Cantonese Opera HatN1.809

The folded hat is orange and rectangular with a rounded top piece, a back flap and embroidered motifs. The hat has an orange centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are pink, purple and white peonies with green leaves and blue swirls. These designs are repeated on the inside of both side folds. The rounded top piece has a large embroidered dragon motif in green, red, purple, white, and gold. Hanging down from the top piece on either side of the centre panel is a red streamer. On the back, the flap mimics the rounded top piece and extends down past the bottom of the folded centre panel, flaring out at the bottom. The large dragon motif is repeated on the top piece of the back flap. Beneath the dragon and in the centre of the flap is a large purple symbol. Surrounding the symbol is a circle of pink and red ponies, green leaves and blue scroll designs. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

White ground lekythos. White and black with single high handle (re-created from fragments, missing some pieces). The body is cylinder-shaped sitting on a thick black disc-shaped base. The shoulders slope inwards to a slender neck. The rim is flat. The black handle is attached to the rim and extends above the rim before curving downwards to attach to the shoulder. There is a brown figure visible on the body.

Cantonese Opera Flag HolderN1.840 a

Holder is green-blue and rectangular with black features and two long white ties. The holder flares out at the top and is made of leather covered with green-blue fabric. The features are adhered to the fabric in the shape of a Fu dog face. There is a wide pink mouth with white teeth, a large white nose, round white eyes with green pupils and pointed white eyebrows. The wrinkled forehead and other facial features are black. The white ties are threaded through the inside of the holder and knotted on the outside front in the lower corners. The back of the holder is covered in white cotton with black characters down the centre.
