Paper maché face mask with grey face covered in red, white, gold, and black dots. Eyes are sideways teardrop-shaped and there is a band of red fabric attached across the forehead. Dark grey and white string has been twisted together to form a knot at the top of the head. Inscription on inside.

Box has one separate compartment on top and fits into the top lid. Exterior is black and interior is red. Plain. Stickers on bottom of base: "Made in Japan" and "12".

White face mask with black net headdress over crosshatching on the forehead. The eyebrows, beard, and moustache are in white fur. There are black outlines around the eye sockets, black and gold outlines around the eye holes, and two recessed red lines running down the nose through the nostrils to the mouth. Black head cloth, band of black elastic, and fabric ties attached at back of mask.

White face mask with white fur eyebrows, moustache, and beard. There are two black wrinkles (lines) on the forehead and three ridges. There are black outlines around the protruding eye sockets, as well as black and gold outlines on the eye holes. Black head cloth and ties attached at back of mask; inscriptions on inside.

Cap of black satin decorated overall with gold stamps. The cap is made of two halves joined at a centre seam from front to back, except for the opening at the top, round when worn. This opening and the forehead area are edged with narrow piping. The edge of the cap is straight across the forehead, but then is cut at a right angle so that it covers the ears. The lower edge forms a circle from the right angle to the top opening. Above the edge of the circle and forehead area are gold stamps shaped like flowers. The outer fabric is folded under at the ears and threaded on a cord. A small area of bright blue satin shows in the lining behind the ears and inside the top opening, but the rest is lined with black and grey cotton fabric. At the back of the top opening is a copper ornament shaped like an inverted heart cast in a lotus design, from which are suspended three tassels, one dark pink, one yellow, and one pink. An identical copper ornament is sewn to the front. Below it is a complex knot design in pink cord, and three tassels, two dark yellow and one dark pink.

Vest fastening in the centre front with five shell buttons shaped like flowers, made of dark blue damask with a fine overall flower pattern and a bolder pattern of flowers, all in reddish pink. Vest is decorated with gold stamped designs shaped like flowers and clusters of flowers. At the centre back there is a roundel surrounded by flowers and enclosing a dragon. On the front there is a pocket with an outside facing at each side, and on the left side above the pocket is a facing with no pocket. The vest is lined with white fabric woven in a pattern of small squares.

Stiff hat with round brim and straight-sided crown narrowing to a flat top. Hat is solid blue nylon fabric inside and red wool slightly ribbed fabric outside. It has bands of rainbow striped fabric around the edge or brim, base of crown, top of crown, and up each side. The bands are outlined with woven undulating gold ribbon. Metallic sequins in floral and leaf shapes in green, silver, and gold are adhered to the surface. Long string attached underneath on both sides, on which are strung red, green, and white plastic beads. Small red cardboard cylinder on one side of base of crown.

Paper mache animal mask. Deer-like horns have four prongs that angle inwards and are painted green, purple, and black. Orange-red hair surrounds the head down to the cheeks. Triangular shaped ears are just below the horns and are painted purple and outlined with the colour black. The outside of the eye sockets are painted lime green and the hollow socket walls are painted black. The snout is painted dark green, and the opened mouth is painted purple and has a twelve teeth on the upper and lower gum. The tongue sticks out of the mouth and is upturned exposing black ink print on the underside. The rim of the entire mask is bound with rags or cloth-like material.
