The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

A plain handle which tapers to a diamond-shaped finial, below which there are two horizontal rings carved at the top under the finial. Twelve long teeth fan outward radially. Twisted fibre cord is coiled around the middle.
A plain handle which tapers to a simple square notched finial. Ten long teeth fan outward radially. Twisted grass cord is coiled around the middle.
A plain handle which tapers to an elongated diamond-shaped finial, below which there are three horizontal rings carved at the top under the finial. Nine long teeth fan outward radially. Twisted fibre cord is coiled around the middle.
A simple handle created from the natural extensions of the two outer, two central, and two outer long teeth that fan outward radially. The handle has turquoise beads fastened with hair around the splints. Twenty-five long teeth fan outward radially. The teeth are woven tightly together at a half-way point and are decorated with pink, turquoise, and red glass beads.
A brown cylindrical piece that has one end open while the other end is closed with a small hole near it on the side. Burned with a dark on light zig zag band pattern.
A brown cylindrical piece that has one end open while the other end is closed with a small hole near it on the side. Dark linear geometric designs consist of swirls, circles, and x's with a seven-pointed snowflake-like shape around the small hole on the side.
Trap rises from a circular base, swelling to its greatest diameter at mid-point. There is a band of braided rattan at each end of the trap, this is attached to a strip of bamboo to form the base. At one end the trap is open and at the other it is laced across to form a lattice effect. The sides of the trap are composed of groups of two vertical bamboo slats bound together in three places along the length with rattan.
A hexagonally-shaped basket of brown and natural palm leaf plaited into geometric designs. The rim of both the base and the fitted lid are round in shape. On the flat interior of both pieces, six bamboo splint reinforcements are interwoven into the plaiting. The pattern (two parallel splints in each configuration) defines the six points of the basket's shape. The splints are not visible on the outside of the basket.
Natural colour, cylindrical basket which narrows from one end to an indented neck at the other. A piece of coconut shell is fastened across the top of narrowest end with plant fibre and a piece of indigo coloured thread of twined plant fibre is attached near the open end. Inside there are two round sets of prongs which point back towards the coconut shell. The smallest circle occurs midway, while the other occurs one third of the way from the open end.
Roughly cylindrical woven trap. Trap slopes in gently at the shoulder each vertical strip terminating in a knob of thick dimensions at the upper lip. A coconut shell half is fitted into the upper end and is secured with two narrow strips of bamboo (?). Three ends of these strips are incorporated (at equidistance) into the main body. The loose fourth end is single-knotted to the other strip above the shell. Inside the trap is a conically shaped structure incorporated into the trap's main body and terminating two-thirds of the way up the trap's length in vertical, pointed bamboo (?) slats. A similarly shaped, but shorter and less funnel-like structure is located within the trap's lower edge. A single strip of bamboo (?) is incorporated into the trap and wound around itself, thus forming a handle.
