Dark red damask skirt with pleats and embroidery. Across the top is a wide cotton waistband with two blue loops. On the edges of the skirt are borders with lotus, chrysanthemum and peony motifs in blue and white on black ground. On the front and back are panels with butterfly, lotus, chrysanthemum and peony motifs in gold, blue and white on dark red ground. The inside is unlined.
