Semi-cylindrical shaped coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with attached lid. Parallel slat base and lid construction. Fully imbricated with canary grass with black cherry bark designs of two crosses on the back, a diamond shape in front, and a vertical row on either side in red cherry bark. Lid edge continues imbrication on basket. Top of lid has parallel rows beaded in canary grass, metal button on rim, and string hinges.

Large flared rectangular coil basket (bifurcated stitches). Parallel base construction. Imbricated zig-zag pattern in two rows on three sides, in red cherry bark and with cat-tail grass in middle. Top row of triangles in same colours. Outside of rim is beaded in cat-tail grass (?) with intervals of two stitch red cherry bark imbrication. Remains of skin handles, two on each long side, also fibre strings, one on short side, one on long.

Baby CarrierA5081

Basketry baby carrier, or cradle, with simple interlocking coiled work (bifurcated stitches) and parallel slat base construction with reinforced stitches at base. Overcast rim is decorated with imbrication. Other surfaces are beaded. Top row is imbricated mostly in cat-tail grass bordered with black cherry bark in a recurring pattern. Sides have a beaded design of vertical bands of diamonds in alternating black and red with spaces between filled with checker work beading on the top half in cat-tail grass and in a single cat-tail grass diamond in the bottom half. Foot end has a variation of the same pattern on the sides (vertical diamond band), but has a hole in the middle.

Tan, black, and red basketry cradle of interlocking coiled work (bifurcated stitches). Parallel slat base construction with single cross-stitch support and no extra rim. Decorated with beading and imbrication (partial). Top slat has four beaded rows (2:1), staggered, in cat-tail grass. Body has three similar rows at the head with a "butterfly pattern". Vertical zig-zag pattern over the rest of the basket.

Red and tan basket (part a) with a lid (part b) in interlocking coiled work (bifurcated stitches). Parallel slat base construction. Flange on the basket body (part a). Lid (part b) with a splint around the edge. Basket (part a) has handles and is decorated with both beading and imbrication. Sides of the basket (part a) have partial imbrication with vertical panels in black cherry bark and canary grass (two different patterns of pyramid and half-pyramid form). Lid (part b)is beaded (3:1), and rows alternate in black-dyed cherry bark and in canary grass (sides of lid are in continuation with sides of basket). Has skin ties.
