Basketry material. This object consisted of scattered a bundle of twigs, and various sizes of matted and scattered organic debris with no visable design, or associaton between pieces (see basketry remarks below). I housed individual pieces of debris separately, in boxes or bags. All together there are 11 boxes, and 3 bags of debris. One of the bags contains 4 small pieces of burnt wood tagged "assoc. #52" that were with the object. All tags were removed and bagged for archives. NOTE: All tags identified object as #52, though basketry card identifies it as #52a. B. Avery. This object is a thickly matted piece of basketry approximately 28x42cm. I didn't see a handle as described in the basketry card, however, there is a fragile unattached woven piece as part of the object. Two clay lumps (assoc., see below) are bagged with the object, along with a bag of debris. Two tags are bagged for archives. Rehoused 11/24/2004, Brooke Avery. Consists of a pile of basketry remains that has no intergrity of shape or design. However, some twining construction is visable, and may contain a possible rim piece. I rehoused this object, and removed the chicken wire it was laying on. I removed a small original tag from object and bagged it for archives. Housed with the object is a bag of debris, and one small chunk of wood that was associated. The basketry card mentions five associated pieces of wood. 01/24/05, B.Avery.
