Arm Ornament2948/53

Two boar tusks are tightly bound with rattan through single holes drilled through the root ends; tips are held widely apart. They are dark in colour and show evidence of drill holes at ends.

Arm Ornament2948/58

Ornament made from boar tusks. Two semi-circular boar tusks tied together at each end with light brown cane-like grass strips, to form a circular ornament. Two holes have been bored through each end of the tusks to insert the ties. The exterior of the ornament is white with dark brown grooves and dots. The interior of the ornament is dark brown. The interior of the tusks is visible at one end of the ornament and is of a dark brown colour. One side of the ornament is smaller in diameter than the other side due to the shape of the tusks.

Pot2832/1

Ceramic pot with three vertical protrusions coming out of the top. The pot is round and glazed in multiple hues of brownish-grey. The pot is topped with three protrusions, into which three sanded and stained wood branch-like pieces (two slightly curved and one bent and curved at an angle between the other two) have been inserted and wrapped at their bases with light brown braided natural fibre twine. Each "branch" is topped with a curved wild-boar tusk.

Ancestor Figure2751/1

Tall wood carving of an ancestor figure standing on a mounded base. Covered with carved body tattoos, a mask-like face on each shoulder, a protruding belly, and large genitalia hanging out from behind a bark loin cloth attached to a grass belt, the figure wears an elaborate mask painted in white, red and black pigments. The mask has large cowrie shell eyes, boar tusks sticking out of the nostrils, elaborate earrings, a feather headdress plus fringe of feathers, and is surrounded with a clay border into which are embedded numerous tiny shells.

Ornament made of woven plant fibre and two boar tusks. The tusks curved inward to a narrow woven basket covered at the bottom with fur. The basket has a black and yellow pattern and tapers towards the top. There is a green string attached to the basket end.
