Scraper998/13 a-b

Part a is a long, yellow-brown bone with a leather strap wrapped around the thick, upper end. The opposite end tapers to a chisel-like point with carved teeth-like shapes on one side. Part b is a large, tan-coloured leather piece that the scraper is wrapped in.

Thin cylindrical piece of bone that has a recessed area and a knob at one end and a metal loop with beads strung onto it at the other end. White thread is wound around recessed area. Five small grooves go around just above recessed area; grooves are painted in alternating black and red. The beads vary in size; the colours of the beads in order are: light blue, clear, light blue, blue, light blue, clear, and light blue.

A piece with a curved neck that has a head with a beak at the top and a circular base with coiled skin going through around which a string is tied that ties at the other end to the middle of the neck. Skin is stitched over the enitre piece except the beak.

Square, stone base with a canopy of stone, bone and sinew. Suspended from the sinew in the canopy is a cylindrical skin bag and rectangular stone vessel. Directly underneath the vessel is a larger, elliptical, stone vessel supported by three bone legs.

Miniature KnifeNa1699

A small ulu tied to a small stone dish. The dish is black in colour and is a shallow V-shape, slopping upwards from the narrow end. The narrow part of the dish has a small knob protruding from its base and has a pierced hole where white-yellow strands of sinew extend to the ulu. The ulu is made entirely of off-white bone with a T-shaped handle, and is pierced with a hole and strung with sinew connecting it to the dish.

Pear-shaped two sided case (part a) with extended rod and round metal pin that connects both sides together. Part b is a slightly domed circular weight that has four small holes around the perimeter and is attached to a stick with black fibre cording and red tassels. Part c is a small weight with scalloped edges and part d is the newspaper that is wrapped around it (part c).

Flat bottle with corked lid. Bottle is decorated with orange on white ground; floral decoration on the two flat faces; four Chinese characters on base. Lid is domed green jade with cork attached to underside; thin, long spoon is attached to end of cork.

Belt1128/3 a-b

Brown leather man's belt is decorated with two rows of white painted metal grommets along the length of the belt. Extra holes form an x-shape near the centre. A bone needle case, containing a sinew threaded needle attached to a fabric and leather strip, is tied to the belt with a 2-ply leather cord. There is an antler ring at the end of the needle case. Leather strips are attached to each end of the belt, one has a metal belt fastener and the other has a series of holes, the last three holes have metal grommets. There is a separate leather strip (b) attached to the end of the belt. Fastened with a narrow (1.6 cm) strap and silver buckle. A tool made from a hollow long-bone (presumably reindeer) is attached with a leather thong.
