Carving made on half a piece of tubular bone. Convex side is carved with a head having a round eye and square muzzle. Behind head is a row of four round shapes. Above this is a round humanoid face enclosed by two split u's; below is another face.
Hollow tubular bone, somewhat flared at two open ends, which are cut to represent the open mouth of an animal. Eyes are carved above each mouth; incised designs indicate nostrils and gills. Two small holes at centre top of tube.
Frontlet figure? Thin rectangular carving with a concave rear surface, convex front surface. Main area of the front is a human-bird style face on a long neck. Mouth is open with upper teeth of abalone exposed. Nose is shaped as a sharp beak curving down and attaching to lower lip. A panel above the forehead is carved with a humanoid creature with arms and legs projecting from either side of its face. The back has had its side edges smoothed down to make it flatter.
Sled (a) made from the lower jaw bones of a caribou, with teeth intact. There is a cross-bar lashed onto the back of the sled below the handles. The rawhide traces are tied onto the front of the sled and have worn through so that the team is not connected. Each member of the 'dog' team (c-e) is represented by a uncarved humerus seal bone wearing a rawhide harness with a long strip attached. The whip (b) is made of thin pieces of carved bone with a long rawhide strip lashed with thread.
Human male, seated. Large head; one hand in front of chest, other at his side. Face clearly delineated with strong features and deep lines at either side of mouth. Figure wears a hat with two rings; a neck pendant; and carries two batons. Figure is hollow.
Length of bone that tapers to a point; concave on one side. Wider end is unevenly shaped, with ridge-like bumps.
Quiver made from four pieces of sealskin stitched together with sinew there is a large opening at the top which is cut on a slant. The bottom has been permanently creased. There are eleven holes along one side, and through two of these are sinew cords which attach to a curved bone handle. Three smaller pieces of bone are attached for decoration.
Cable-backed bow made from wood and other materials. There are 2 places where thin pieces of bone have been attached to either side of the wood with copper pins, one has sealskin sewn over the top of the bone, and the other has sinew lashed over it. There are knobs on either end of the bow, around which 8 braided sinew cords are strung. The cords are lashed onto the wood in 2 places, and they are twisted and wound with sealskin in the middle section. (Bow string no longer attached.)
The triangular copper arrow point is inserted in a bone shaft and held in place by three copper pins with a wedge of slightly different material that has been added on. The bone shaft is inserted in the wooden one and lashed on with sinew. About 5cm. above this, a v-shaped cut has been made through the shaft and a glue-like substance used to hold it together. There is another cut about 30cm. above it which is held together with sinew lashed around it. The end is notched and there is sinew wrapped around it.
Large bone, one end of which is plugged with a disc of petrified or fire-hardened wood. Entire surface is carved with a design resembling a sea creature with human-like limbs. Has large circle in tapering oval eyes, a u-shaped nose that has diagonals within, below which, there is a circle in a circle at either side with an open mouth underneath that shows four fangs. Human-like limbs curve around from the back to the lower front. Top of the head is incised with vertical lines. Back of the head has two vertical rows of six, totalling twelve, dots along the upper portion with a large circle below that has two smaller circles within from which a fan-like shape of cross hatching radiates.
