The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Bone dagger. The body of the dagger is made from a bone that has been shaved away on one half to reveal the hollow interior of the bone. The surface of the bone is covered in marks and is stained with dirt. A faint carved mark appears on the underside of the dagger. The midsection of the piece is circumscribed with a thin, black, carved ring. The head of the bone is wrapped in a thickly woven plant fibre casing. This woven casing has seven strands coming off of it which are decorated with two sets of two blue or white seeds each and sets of two black beads connected to bundles of brown and black feathers. The tops of these seven bundles are wound with the same strands of natural fibre, and some of the strands extend past the length of the black feathers.
Bone dagger. The body of the dagger is made from a bone that has been shaved away on one half to reveal the hollow interior. The surface is covered in marks and is stained with dirt. The tip has been broken off. The head of the bone is wrapped in a woven plant fibre casing. This casing has ten strands coming off of it, each of which is decorated with blue and red seeds and black beads, culminating in bundles of brown and black feathers. The tops of these bundles are wound with the same strands of natural fibre. The casing around the head of the bone is otherwise undecorated aside from a single string of fibre that forms a large loop extending upwards from the casing.
Bone tool made of a section of bone that has been shaved and worked into a thin, rectangular blade, culminating in a slightly wider sharp-edge. Striations from the shaving can be seen on the blade, as well as deep scratches in ‘x’ patterns, square patterns, and random lines. One half of the tool is wrapped thickly with a type of fabric, possibly covered in something like resin(?), to form a handle.
Bone tool made of a halved section of bone, narrow and thicker at one end, wider and flatter at the other, where it culminates in a sharp edge. Evidence of shaving and working the bone into shape can be seen on the top cortex. Remnants of the bone cavity are extant on the underside of the tool.
Hollow bone tube. Tube has a minor curve and is slightly flattened in profile. The exterior is shiny and smooth, with a single bored hole at one end and multiple brown rings lightly carved onto the outer surface.
Powder horn. The hollow, curved horn is open at its small end. The wide end is closed off with a round wooden stopper, held in place with 8 evenly spaced round-headed nails bored through the horn. A large nail emerges from the centre of the end, around which is knotted a twisted cotton cord that is tied to a thin string and wrapped around the narrow end of the horn between two carved rings. There is a large light red contact stain on one side of the horn and part of the string.

String puppet (marioneta) representing the character Adamastor, mythological character, embodiment of storms. The core of the puppet is a mass of dark brown cragged wood, cork, large strands of frayed rope and torn white plastic, as well as several small white shells. The monster's eyes are barnacle shells. Grey paint has been added to all elements in a few areas. Falling from this amalgamation is a long torn piece of black cotton fabric, also rubbed with grey paint in areas. A leather and rusted metal belt buckle is tied into one corner. Part b is a wooden control stick, carved at centre, with the handle painted to look bone-like. The control stick fits into the central piece of cork in the head.
