Multi-component whale bone carving. A large, flat slab of bone (part a) serves as the base of the sculpture, with several small holes bored into the top. The holes hold short, fine, bone or wood pegs (parts f to k) which serve as the legs of four small carved birds (parts b to e) that stand atop the base. All the birds hold their wings on their backs, their eyes are small bored holes painted black or filled with a black substance, and one has an open beak.

Bone awl. The bone itself is the partial ulna of a goat or mule deer. The distal end has been sharpened to a point, while the proximal mass has a small, straight cut in one side.

Hollow bone tube with bands of cross-hatching at each end. Brown twisted hide cord wrapped around middle, leading to long loop. Cord is reddish on some edges and has been darkened by use.

Bone flute with four stops, flattened sides, rounded hole in mouthpiece and wide opening in the other side. Well polished. Slightly cracked.

Bone pick with acute distal end, rounded sides, long groove at the back and no decoration.

Bone pick with acute distal end, a frog pommel and concave-convex sides. Frog decoration is looking to the opposite side and has incised legs and rounded eyes.

Bone balance beam (from which scales would hang) with flattened sides, a central suspension hole and holes through lower corners. Slightly cracked.

Tube made of two hollow bones joined together and bound with skin, cotton and black alpaca threads. Object has a flute shape and contains some wool in the interior. Incomplete.

Bone pick with acute distal end, four pointed surface on the opposite side and flattened sides.

Bone pick with a heavy and twisted cotton cord attached to flat surface. Pointed end has a deep and wide hole in the middle of body.
