Small figure of an old man. The figure has a high forehead, furrowed brow and prominent mustache and beard. The shoulders are hunched forward, with one hand positioned behind his back and the other cupping his ear. There are two holes bored on the underside of the nose for nostrils. The figure is dressed in pants, a tunic, a jacket and pointed slippers. There is a distinct cross hatching pattern in the ivory on his back. The base is somewhat concave.

Carving2930/2 a-c

Model stone Coppermine-style igloo on a stone base with a removable igloo top (part b), and a loose bone piece (part c) The base (part a) consists of the lower part of the house. It includes two seated figures in the main room and a child-sized figure playing with a dog in the mouth of the igloo. The three figures all have simple stylized features with long almond-shaped eyes, a triangular nose and an open oval mouth. All three are dressed in parkas. The house contains several miniature tools made of bone or wood. On the base outside the igloo is a small spear made of bone (part c) resting on a sled. There are two small copper posts which hold the igloo top in place on the base. The igloo consists of a dome connected to a short rounded tunnel. White etched lines on the exterior form a brick pattern.

Short statuette of a billiken type figure. The figure has high, rounded cheeks, slanted eyes, and tall, pointed ears. There are two small scratches on the crown of his head indicating hair. Two holes have been bored into the chest suggesting nipples. A belly button has been carved and painted black on the figure’s rounded stomach. It has shallowly-carved sides with extremely long arms.

Small, white figurine of a dog. The dog is posed standing on four legs with its tail pointing straight behind it. It has small squared ears and a somewhat long snout. The carved eyes and mouth are black.
