Long curved sword with decorated brass handle. Blade shows part of a maker's mark near handle and is largely tarnished with an oily residue near the hilt. Brass hilt is cross-shaped with a design all around handle area and a round, hollow, bowl-like sphere with a small metal protrusion at the very top. The scabbard is dark brown wood with 9 silver bands of various widths around it - the widest at the bottom. All silver bands are covered in floral and geometric designs with twisted coil borders. Most are loose fitting and seem to have folded paper or card stuck underneath to tighten them.
Small metal urn-like object with a hollowed hole at top. "China" is stamped on the bottom.
A 3/4 inch #9 straight gaoge with a green and gold maker's label on handle: 'Henry Taylor Tools Sheffield England', and a dark blue mark that may be owner's initials. Tool consists of a metal blade with a finished wood handle. A metal cinch holds wood tight around the blade.
