Coin3095/1010

Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two standing figures; to left, Heraclius; to right, Heraclius Constantine, his son; both wear crown with cross; between their heads, there is another cross; beneath them, there is an upside down ‘M’ and cross, which belong to a previous coin. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘Ϛ’; above, upside down image of consular robes; beneath, ‘A’; to lower right, ‘dNMAVΓ’; in exergue, ‘SELI[SϤ]’. Coin has been overstruck, causing confusion on both sides. The inscription and the consular robes on the reverse indicate that this coin was in use during the reign of Maurice Tiberius, a previous emperor.
