Dark bronze figure of a bird and snake. The snake is coiled in a circle with its head attached to the belly of the bird. The bird is standing, with its beak pointed down over the snake's body. The bird is carved with linear design elements; the snake has diagonal lines along the body, round eyes and a triangular head.
Dark bronze rectangular metal box with a separate lid (part b). The top of the lid is covered in designs, with a border of short straight lines all the way around, pointed outward and a grid pattern of of twelve swirls inside the border, two wide by six long. The box itself is undecorated. (There is a very small hole in one corner of the base.)
Dark bronze figure of a standing bird. The feet of the bird are attached to a square base; the body has linear marks for the wings and a long beak. The base has a small projection sticking out that makes it not quite flat.
Bronze antelope. Stands on four long, straight legs. It has a long, pointed tail that hangs between the hind legs. Raised concentric circles covering the long cylindrical body in rows. Long, narrow face with raised concentric circles for eyes, tall curled horns, and thin ears pointed back and out to sides.
Metal weight in the form of a standing bird on a flat oval-like base. Bird has an elongated neck, curved beak, large circular eyes and tall cylindrical legs. Wings done in relief and folded against back. They are decorated with incised, concentric semi-circles. Flat angled tail decorated with vertical lines, imitating feathers. Lines carved along feet, imitating long claws.
Bronze sculpture of a water buffalo. Head is circular, tapering to a long flat snout. Raised swirls, imitating eyes, on either side of face. Horns curl under buffalo’s head and ears are pointed back at an angle. Line of concentric circles, done in low relief, decorate entire back of buffalo. Below, on either side of the body, are rows of concentric semi-circles; triangle patterns formed in the negative space. Buffalo’s legs are straight and have points on the front and back. Undecorated tail hangs from back, between hind legs, with a slight curve at the end.
Bronze sculpture of a dancing bear. Figure is standing on its left hind leg, with its right raised. Left foreleg is stretched straight outward, right is bent at an angle; both have their paws curled. Left paw is facing up, right facing out. Grooves carved into edges of all paws, imitating claws. Bear has a narrow head, with pointed ears along the back edge, tapering to a flat snout. Teardrop-shaped eyes, nostrils and frowning mouth are incised. Artist mark, edition number 6/150, signature and date carved along bottom of left hind leg.
Cast bronze figure of a woman sitting and cleaning rice. Figure’s body and limbs are long and thin. She has a long rounded nose, pronounced lips and eyes, and heavy brows. Her hair is curly, with incised lines throughout, and is styled in a low bun. Figure is wearing a short skirt, with incised horizontal lines throughout, and triangular headpiece. The edges of the headpiece are braided, front has diagonal incised lines throughout, and back is plain. Wearing earrings, anklets, arm bands and a necklace that wraps around her neck before draping down in between her breasts. Two swirl designs, done in relief, on the figure’s shoulders. Her left leg is propped up, her right leg is bent and resting flat. In her left hand she is holding a container with rope cords, in her left she is holding a handled platter with water(?) running off it. Two semi-circular protrusions along bottom edge, on back of figure.
Cast bronze, hollow female head. On the head is an elaborate headdress or hairstyle, starting at the hair line and culminating in a cone-shaped projection at the top of the head.
