Fragments are in seven pieces: part a-c are bronze nail fragments; part d appears to be a whole nail but is bent and twisted; part e is a bronze metal fragment, thin and bent into a half-circle shape; part f is a metal ring; part g is possibly a small bronze stamp, or a part of a stamp(?).

Round, square hole in centre, inner and outer rims on both sides, 4 characters on obverse. Tangguo dungbao (top-bottom-right-left) in seal script Chinese characters on obverse. Many casting holes go through the coin- they are very small.

Indochinese coin. Round, smooth edge, round hole in centre; 4 characters in centre, surrounded by ring of dots, inscription outside; design and inscription. Obverse has seated figure, smaller figure at right; denomination 1 cent below hole; Republique Francaise around top, mintmark a and symbols at bottom. Reverse has Indochine Francaise.1903 around dotted circle. 4 Chinese characters inside. Obverse has director's/engraver's symbols at bottom-torch and cornucopia.
