Basketry Tray1054/1

Circular tray with straight sides and two handles formed of metal wire with bark coiled around it. Exterior walls are decorated with black and red equally spaced diamonds; interior is decorated with a large central flower design with three small triangles between each pair of petals.

Basket797/2 a-b

A small light brown and brown flared upward basket (part a) with a lid (part b). The design consists of a horizontal row of green dashes around the top and the bottom of the basket (part a), and circle lines and triangles in a circle line around the top of the lid (part b). The side of the basket tapers into an upright rim. The lid (part b) dips downward toward the centre.

Cylindrical wooden rattle. The rattle is widest at the centre and tapers to the ends. The cedar has large incised designs painted red and black. There is an inscription, "Cranmer 81" on one end.

Trinket BasketNbz819

Octagonal shaped coiled cedar root basket with an attached lid. Parallel slat base and lid with overcast rims on both the lid and the basket. Red cherry bark beading on every other slat on the lid. Vertically connected chevron shaped designs in cherry bark with canary grass in the centre divided down the centre by a cherry bark line. Two leather hinges on one side attach the lid to the basket with a leather tie on the opposite side.

Round headring with four braided cedar bark tiers and a bundled layer on top, all are dyed red. Lined with red wool inside. One small animal skin with white fur attached to the front and another attached to the back of the head ring. There is a rectangular shaped piece of abalone attached to the front.

Bentwood BoxA4371

Tall square bentwood box with black and red painted Northwest Coast stylized distributive designs. The front and back have complex designs; the sides have two sets of thinly outlined black ovoids. The box is pegged together at the side seam and on the bottom. Base is split and joined with nails. There is no lid.
