Circular braided cedar bark head ring with an abalone shell crest in the shape of an eagle attached to the front below the bark ties. Eaglet skin, with the fine, soft down still attached, covers the entire top area and hangs down in a tail at the back, below the head ring. The head ring is lined with cotton.

Drum863/5 a-c

Cylindrical-like shaped wood drum (part a) carved in the form of a sea lion with a wolf-like head, a long body, shallow carved and painted front flippers and a triangular shaped end consisting of two hind flippers formed together with a rectangular tail in between. The head has a long protruding snout with carved eyes, nostrils and bared teeth. The drum is painted black, red and green with Northwest Coast stylized designs. Parts b-c are the stand for the drum. Each is a rectangular unpainted wooden block with a shallow rectangular indentation for holding the body of the drum.

Round, woven cedar basket, straight sided. The basket is made of cedar slats wrapped with cedar root, with two intertwining rows of wrapped looping along the rim. The exterior is decorated with diagonal lines of triangles in light brown, red and dark brown.

Rectangular woven cedar basket with attached lid. Basket is made with cedar root wrapped around an under-structure of cedar slats. The exterior is decorated with red, light brown and dark brown imbrication in a large zigzag pattern. The lid is attached to the basket with two hide thongs on one of the longer sides. It is decorated with a pattern of imbricated squares in the same colour as that on the body. There are two hide ties attached to the front of the basket and the edge of the lid to tie it closed.

Round woven cedar basket with lid (part b). Basket wall is straight and flares slightly from bottom toward top. The exterior is decorated with four vertical lines of inverted triangles, three to a line. The rim is decorated with short horizontal lines of imbrication at intervals. The lid is coiled, with a large coiled knob at centre. It is decorated with ‘V’ shapes of black imbrication and has an inset rim that fits inside the basket.

Rectangular woven cedar basket, with flat slightly oval lid (part b) that fits tightly inside the rim. The basket is made of cedar slats wrapped with cedar root, cherry bark (red and black) and grass imbrication designs on all sides and lid. The lid has eight separate 'butterfly' designs; the long sides have a large central design surrounded by four small crosses, while each end repeats the main design. The central design is a widened star-like design with four side points, with wider, squared-off top and bottom points. The lid has a short lip; the base of the basket is almost flat.
