Rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with rounded shoulder with separate lid (b) and tall curved handle (now separate) that attached at the sides (c). Red, black and cream cherry bark decoration includes a floral design on the sides of the basket (one at each end and two on each side), and V-shapes in alternating red and black around the rim and on the lid surface. The lid has two parallel rectangular openings in the centre.
The dye is purple.

It is composed of twigs that have been split up the shaft and twisted together. Object is directly labled in black ink "188". Three bags of loose material are assoicated with this object.
