Bentwood box (parts a-b) painted and carved with human/frog transformation. The box (part a) has a lid (part b ) with cedar rope lashings and yew wood toggle. The front edge of the lid is tall while the rest is flat. Three sides of the box are carved to have round fluting, the front has a circular transformation design framed in a blue painted rectangle; corners and top edge of sides are painted red-brown. Corners have been steamed, kerfed, and bent. Pegs at bottom are wooden. Rope lashings toggle together over lid.
Rectangular basket with domed lid. Coiled cedar root with bifurcated stitches and parallel slat base construction. Basket has flange. Lid is convex and decorated with beaded design in white, black and red. Body of basket decorated with star designs. Lid attaches to basket with four rawhide thongs and two rawhide hinges.
Large wooden ladle with the top of the handle carved in the form of a raven with a long, downturned beak and two claws perched on the handle. The handle is rectangular in shape with a human hand, carved in relief, emerging at the base of the bowl as if to hold the ladle. The raven is painted red, green and black.
Double, wooden whistle. Made of two pieces of wood, with a third marrow strip of wood at centre. Bound together by several layers of cotton cord. Circle at base tapers to two slits at mouth.
Carved, wooden whistle. Two halves bound by layers of thin seaweed. Wide opening at base tapers to a narrow slit at mouthpiece.
Bell shaped wooden whistle. Circular opening at base, tapers to slit at mouth. Two halves bound together by five layers of brown cotton cord at base and at top of bell.
Carved, wooden whistle bound by sting at mouthpiece, base and top. Oval opening in mouthpiece and square hole on base.
Small lidded basket with Nuu-chah-nulth style designs. There is a canoe with two people in it at each end, and a steamship on each side. The lid has the same design. Colours include brown, yellow, red, orange, dark brown, and light yellow-brown.
Thick ring made of strips of beaten cedar bark twisted together into two ropes, which are then twisted together and laid in three adjoining circles piled on each other and bound together by strips of bark. At the front a horizontal bundle of thin strips of cedar bark are tied to the ring with strips of bark, which are first wrapped a few times around the bundle. The inside of the ring is lined with fake brown fur. (A piece of white elastic with reddish stains accompanies the ring.)
Oval ring made of strips of beaten cedar bark twisted together into two ropes which are then twisted together. Strips of straight bark are tied as a horizontal bundle to the front of the ring with a long strip of bark which is wound around bundle and ring. On the inner left side of the ring are two crescent blue marks.
