Large rectangular basket (with bifurcated stitches on sides) with lid (part b), attached with one worn rawhide string. Parallel slat lid, base and body construction (bifurcated stitches) with reinforced stitches along edge. Basket has inner flange. Fully imbricated in grass and large parallel rows of zig-zags in red and dark cherry bark, with dark cherry bark arrows. Lid rim is imbricated in grass with red bark geometric designs. Top rim is beaded in grass and rest of lid is beaded in alternating rows of grass and red bark. Two rawhide ties at front and two hinges at rear.

Basket base (a) and lid (b) composed of simple interlocking coiled work with bifurcated stitches on the sides. Parallel slat base and lid construction reinforced by stitches along edges. Flange indented on lid with overcast rim, beading and imbrication. The sides have four horizontal rows of double imbricated black stitches interrupted by vertical bands of alternating checker and solid lines. The lid has several rows of beading (every other coiled row) grouped into four panels. Rawhide thongs on lid and rawhide handles on narrower ends.

Woven basket with base and lid. Base - mixed twined weaving: sides - plain twined work with mixed twined work border; lid - plain twined with rattle section: design is false embroidered. Sides - two bands of a "meander" pattern in purple on brown bordered with red. Lid - similar pattern; false embroidery on lid is green; lid has raised centre that rattles.

Large, rectangular basket (a) with flaring sides and a flat, fitted lid (b). Simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches); parallel slat base and lid construction; slat side on lid and indented slat flange on basket body; overcast splint rim. Foot of two coiled slats. Lid: partially beaded; regular groupings in what appears to have been green and red, beading along sides as well. Sides: partial beading; vertical panels with double figure outlined in red against ground of bullrush with darker colours as well. Colour: tan.

Storage BasketA8190

Rectangular tan basket (part a) of simple interlocking coiled work with bifurcated stitches, and parallel slat base and lid (part b) construction. Indented slat flange on the basket body, and a single splint around the lid. Basket appears to have had handles. Decorated with imbrication and beading. Top of the lid is beaded in connected zigzag pattern in red cherry bark while the sides have checkerboard designs in black-dyed cherry bark. The body of the basket has a series of six figures in black with cat-tail grass interiors. Figures have the appearance of figure-eights with cross like shapes in each. There are two on each side and one on each end.
