Braided trim is used to finish the rim of the basket on either side of the handles. Watch-spring coiled foundation and wood slat walls. Red cherry bark beading along top edge, and red cherry bark and white canary grass imbricated designs decorate basket.

Two woven handles bridging the top of the basket are tied to the sides at either end with leather strips. Two leather ties are affixed, respectively, near the front edge of the lid and the top edge of the basket's front side. Vertical, patterned bands in red-brown and black are featured on the lid and all four sides.
