The catalogue card contains information presumably acquired by McIlwraith at the time of collection in Bella Coola. Painted wooden mask with dyed bark hair (red) representing a combination of eagle, the hooked beak and ravens. The mask has two raven heads on the temples and their beaks stretch across the forehead to a bundle of cedar bark. The eyebrows are thin and taper almost to the jawline. The eyes are pierced and the nose very prominently hooked, painted blue and has flared red nostrils. The mouth is closed and painted red, but is accentuated by a white border. The chin is large and painted, together with the cheeks, with green, red and white U-forms.; Good

A bent and tied cedar head ring with cedar bark wrapped and knotted around it and two salmon carved from flat slats of cedar secured to the top. The salmon have small cross-hatched fins, gill slits eyes and mouths, they are also painted black along the upper edge. The cedar bark wrapping is very loose and fragile.; Good

Round design on front depicts front view of eagle face, in red, black and white acrylic paint. The drum is used to accompany traditional singing at many celebratory occasions. The drums of this type are used to accompany traditional singing at many celebratoryoccasions such as feasts, potlatches, and pole raisings. Oval shaped open basket with two large wrapped wood handles tied on with skin. On the outside wall, black and red cherry bark and light yellow grass have been interwoven with the basket weave to create a checkerboard design.

Large, deep rectangular basket with handles (a) and lid (b). A cross with a diamond shape at the end of each arm is woven into each of the sides in black or red cherry bark. A long foot or platform protrudes out from the edge of the base. Diamond and linear designs in red and black cherry bark on top and sides of lid.

Shallow bowl-like basket with woven-in handles. Designs in grass and red and black cherry bark on the interior bottom (perhaps birds) are surrounded on the sides, both interior and exterior, with multi-level verticals of V shapes.

Rectangular bentwood box with lid (part b). There are Northwest Coast designs painted on the chest panels, but only traces of the imagery are visible beneath the overall darkened surface. Lid is unpainted.

Large wooden sculpture carved in the form of a bird and painted yellow or faded green with black, white and red stylized designs. Missing its wings. Has carved legs; only one claw remains. Its chest has a painted face, while the lower body holds detailing representative of a bird. The head has carved eyes and a large protruding beak; the sides have painted ovoids. The lower part of the beak is missing.
