Wooden tool found with tag 45-KI-8/50. Artifact was found with other artifacts from 45KT20. Tag does not correspond with the object description in Field Catalog Form. Artifact is pictured in Swanson 1962 Figure 30i and described as, "cedar awl, lower remains". Artifact is described further in Swanson 1962 on page 58, A. Shelter 8B: The Lower Remains #4: "Cedar awl, tapered at one end, flat with rounded edges at the other end. It shows evidence of exposure to fire. Length 2.20 in.; width, .71 in.; thickness, .12in. Fig. 30i." No corresponding description was found in the Field Catalog Form or Artifact Record Notebook. It has been assigned cat. #45KT20/1966-95/18 by the Burke. Z. Garcia Morales, 03/08/2011.

One piece of frayed cedar assigned 45KT20/227.1. This object and the objects labeled 45KT20/227.2 were found together with 2 previously attached tags labeled "227 / 4S3-1" and "(D.)" on the back of one. Field Catalog Form indicates the provenience as: Unit 4S3, Level 1, Description "Flayed [sic]cedar; 5 pieces constricted twigs; one knot of charred wood; one pieced [sic] bone; one QS; single, burnt reed." A. Auerbach, 02/02/2010 (Note: Only four twigs and the frayed cedar have been located. No charred wood, bone or single reed. Burke staff is unsure what "QS" describes. I. Ostericher 04/05/2011)
