Model totel pole with two carved figures. From top, a thunderbird with eyes outlined in blue and a mouth outlined in red. Wings are painted with red and blue feathers. Left wing has been reattached with adhesive. The thunderbird sits atop the tail of a whale. The whale is positioned head down with eyes outlined in green, nostrils outlined in red, and mouth outlined in purple. 'CHARLIE JAMSON' written on back.

Model Totem Pole3623/2

Model totem pole with three carved figures. From top, a male figure with feather headdress and green-blue eye mask with red marking. The carved headdress has six upright feathers, which increase in size and then decrease again giving the headdress a curved appearance, and an ovoid painted above the figure's head. The seated male figure holds an upside-down grey fish in front of his body, and sits on top of the head of a large animal figure (sea-wolf or sea-bear?). The animal looks downward and sits on a mound creating an s-shape to its reddish-brown body.

Chest3630/1 a-b

Large lidded wooden chest. The exterior of the chest (part a) shows finely grooved texturing on surface. Each panel has borders at all four edges, with fine, vertical, parallel lines throughout the centre. Five parallel grooves run horizontally along the upper and lower edges of the chest, with diagonal grooves down each adjacent corner. The corners and base are secured with root-like(?) ties, wood pegs and nails. The exterior has a dark brown-black colour. The interior of the chest shows carving tool marks. There is a rectangular piece of wood along the interior, bottom edge of one side panel. The lid (part b) is flat on underside, with an upright ridge along the long front and back edges. The side edges are also carved with fine vertical parallel lines. The lid is composed of three pieces of wood pegged and nailed together. The underside surface of the lid is covered in carving tool marks.

Model totem pole (part a) with detachable wings (parts b-c). Pole has four carved figures, from top: thunderbird with pink beak; a human holding a sea lion upside-down, with a face depicted between the tail flippers; the sea lion holds a sea creature in its mouth. The figures all have eye outlines - thunderbird in blue-green; human in green; the sea lion in blue; and the sea creature has blue. The sea creature's mouth is outlined in red, and has five full and two half black vertical stripes on its body. 'CHARLIE JAMSON' written on back.

Model totem pole (also fragment bag with wing pieces). From top, bird figure, killerwhale, upside-down male figure. The bird has a large head and small body. It is seated on the back of the killerwhale below, with seperately carved wings inserted into its back. It has feathers painted and a face on its chest. The killerwhale is upright with its head bent forward with the lower half of the upside-down male figure partially inside of its mouth.

Basket2899/1 a-b

Large rectangular lidded basket with handles and a tight weave. The basket body is deep with a wide mouth, narrowing to a smaller base, with imbricated diamond, triangle and arrow shaped patterns in colours of tan, dark brown and red-brown decorating all sides. The lid (part b) is flat and has a low profile. It is decorated with imbrication similar to that on the body. The basket has two half circle handles attached at the shorter sides, just under the rim (one reattached in 2019).

Chilkat Pattern Board3379/1

Painted wooded pattern board for weaving a Chilkat style robe. The panel is somewhat rectangular except for the bottom right corner which is cut off at an angle. There is a rectangular human-like face at the centre front, above which is an eye form containing a frog face. Below the rectangular form are two inverted eye forms, to the right of which is a foot with claws. Above, are two more eye forms. At the midpoint of the side edge is a rectangular profile human-like face looking inwards towards the centre. Back is undecorated.

Impressions Salish Wolf3309/1

Large circular wood panel with a cast paper spindle whorl design. Centre of wood panel is concave, with a spindle at centre to mount the paper cast. Black paper cast depicting a wolf design. The negative areas are darker and spotted compared to the postive areas of the cast. The rim of the panel is painted black. Cast marked 1/5.

Eagle Paddle3309/9

Paddle carved from a single piece of wood. The burgundy shaft is split above the throat, forming a V-shape. The grip is painted solid black, and has a small piece of black leather tied to both sides of the shaft. The blade is painted light yellow-brown with black feather-like lines over, and the outline of an eagle's profile with white eye.
