Lid has beading in two concentric rows (grass and red cherry bark) with imbricated pattern, while the body has a continuous 'wave' pattern which has angular appearance, because of width of stitches (one per slat), interspersed with what looks like small animal figures beaded in red. Double beaded row of grass staggered on bottom row.

Tan basket with simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches), parallel slat base foundation, and overcast rim. Rim loops to allow connection of two overcast handles. Decorated with three double rows of beading in black/red cherry bark separated by one undecorated row.

Coiled cedar root basket decorated with discrete vertical stripes of checkerboard pattern alternating in black-dyed bark / white cat-tail and red bark / white cat-tail. Pattern continues three-quarters of the way down the basket with a red/white horizontal line as a border. The rim is decorated with beading in cat-tail grass. Part (a) Heart shaped coiled cedar root basket with inner rim and flared outer rim. Parallel base construction and watch-spring lid construction. Part (b) Lid is convex and sits inset on the inner rim of the basket. Imbricated design look similar to spade shapes that alternate in red cherry bark and cat-tail or black-dyed cherry bark or cat-tail. Lid has same pattern as well as two upper rows of triangles alternating in red or dark cherry bark.
