Spirit Bowl2986/2

Bowl is made of clay, with an uneven pedestal base that flares at bottom and narrows toward bowl. Bowl is round, widening toward the mouth, with a thinner rim. Rim lowers at one point to create a spout. A large The exterior of the bowl is coloured an orange red, with the inside a bright vibrant pink. A spot of pig’s blood can be seen on the interior base.

Very small ceramic owl with grey-white body and black and brown painted decoration. Back and tail have a painted feather pattern. Stomach, back, and area around eyes are brown. Circular eyes are black in the centre surrounded by a ring of yellow and a larger red area outlined in black. Talons and tail protrude from base to stabilize the figure. Inscription on base: CY.

Owl Figure2985/2

Small ceramic owl with orange-white body and dark orange painted feather pattern on body and line pattern on wings and tail. The protruding beak extends to attach below the mouth, forming a loop. The beak and ears are entirely dark orange. There are metallic flecks visible in the dark orange paint. The wings and tail all protrude from the body. Inscription on base: -Zuni- S.K.L. "09."

Medium size, glazed vase with a low, round body and a tall, cylindrical neck. The exterior glaze is mainly dark grey with stripes of light blue, light green and light pink. Irregular square, thick-walled vase, narrow in profile and open through the centre with an irregular shape connecting the top and base at the mid-way point. Small rectangular opening at top. Front, back, and interior surfaces are covered with a light grey-blue glaze, and the narrow sides are an unglazed orange. Bottom is a light grey tan. All surfaces, glazed and unglazed, are covered in brown spots of varying sizes and shapes. DEXTER inscribed on base.

Large, tall, round vase with painted and glazed designs on the exterior surface. The rim is flat with a small inset opening. The interior is unglazed and of a light brown-white. The exterior is decorated with bands of white crackle glaze, dark grey and light green paint. There are curvilinear, black and green script-like designs both painted and incised around the exterior surface of the vase. DEXTER inscribed on base.
