Dish2988/2

Large dish with sloping sides and a slanting foot ring, is almost solely decorated in turquoise blue enamel combined with outlines in black on a thick, opaque white glaze. It is painted in the centre with a large roundel enclosing an Arabic inscription written with the characters forming a spiral, and encircled by double lines. The gently curving cavetto has eight smaller roundels enclosing Arabic inscriptions, alternating with individual words; there are also continuous Arabic inscriptions surround the large central roundel and the rim. The underside is glazed but undecorated.

Globular pot with rounded base. The mouth is small with a tall round rim that is painted with a wide white stripe covered in cross hatching. Two curved lugs sit on the shoulder painted in lines and dots. Two long nosed, long tailed creatures, possibly anteaters, are painted on the shoulders between the handles. The body of the pot is painted a rust-red and partially burnished, while the base is unpainted.

Black globular pot with rounded base. Shoulder inclines to a long neck which flares at the rim. Two round lugs protrude from the body below the shoulder. The surface is uneven in texture with an unstable partial layer of thick black accretions and areas of black carbonization. Pot has been broken with a hole remaining in the base.

Small globular pot with rounded base. The mouth is small with a thick rim holding two small lugs, each with a tiny hole bored through. Close together on the shoulder of the pot, two concentric diamond patterns are faintly imprinted into the paint. The bottom portion of the pot is unpainted.

Small straight-sided, round bowl. Base is narrow, walls flaring outward toward the rim. On the outer rim is painted a repeating design of an open sun with rays in white on a dark brown background. Beneath the decoration the bowl is painted a dark rust-red, partially burnished. The interior is painted light brown.

Small straight-sided, round bowl, without its base. The walls flare outward toward the rim. On the outside is painted a long, geometric, encircling pattern of triangles, circles and half circles in white and dark brown on a rust background. The pattern repeats once. The interior of the bowl has a thick rust line painted around the rim. The base and part of the side have broken away.
