Roughly shaped, orange clay owl, standing on long legs with three-toe pronged feet, has a hole in its head and stubby little wings. Eyes and splotchy feathers that cover the entire body have been hand painted in black onto a greyish beige background. Snout-like beak and knobby ears look pinched.

Squatting, pale orange clay owl with creamy orange slipped body and red base has off-kilter wings and tail placed near base. Dark brown feather design that covers all of body ranges from perfect dots to daubs to lines to U-shapes. Large brown and red beak extends from back of head across head and hooks down to meet lower lip, like a handle.

Seven Deadly Sins Representation2730/4

Elaborate, round, golden-brown glazed, clay sculpture that is a combination crucifix and candelabra. Around the central element of Christ on the cross is a floral arrangement that includes four tall flower-shaped candle holders. Seven large, standing, fantastical animal-faced figures representing the seven deadly sins, with names written in Portuguese at each base, face outward from around the base.

Colours of the mother's long, flared skirt, jacket, and apron include pink, white, green, blue, yellow, black, orange and gold. Around each of her elbows wind identical huge bouquets of multi-coloured flowers and, around her wrists, gold bracelets. The children wear blue/pink and green/orange jacket and pant sets.

Hand coiled orange clay pottery owl. Hand painted details are mostly brown (top of beak is dark orange) over a cream slipped background. Stylized feather pattern covers base and body up to outline of spotted head. Extended vertical wings are striped both sides while the tail is striped on top and spotted on bottom. Ears are large rounded cones, slightly flattened and the split two-tone beak rises slightly from the face. Eyes are small with nine short lashes.
