She is holding a long red fan (part b) trimmed with gold in her right hand. Her dress is adorned with long ribbons and ties. Label reads "Japan". Standing on a flat tree trunk for a base.

A small ceramic vase (part a) with a rounded lower body that angles inward to taper upward into a slim cylindrical neck which flares into a rim. Vase has petal-shaped rim and incised petal decoration on the rounded lower body. Has a bat and symbolic design on pale blue ground. (Part b is a circular wooden stand, in storage.)
