Vase1780/8

Rounded vase with flared base and curved neck. The body has a large blue-grey floral motif. The inside has a beige-yellow glaze with a speckled appearance. The outer glaze has a 'flat' finish. Unglazed mark on inside of foot ring.

Incense Burner1780/7 a-b

Square Chinese ceramic container with integral feet. Raised design on four sides consists of blue peony and light brown peony on opposite sides, and blue-green fu dogs on other two sides. Background is red and floral designs frame main motifs. Domed lid has cutout holes between leaf designs, and the lid handle is a green fu dog in hard relief.

Round plate with raised edge. Inside bottom has a floral pattern with nine pink flowers and four white circles containing Chinese symbols. Inside rim has a band of geometric shapes in three alternating colours. Outer rim has four pink and green flower patterns around it. On the bottom are six Chinese characters.

Small round Iznik-style plate with raised rim of solid blue. Pattern on inside is brightly coloured with a floral/plant pattern. A large plant shape crosses centre. Underside of rim is mostly glazed white; the underside of the base is unglazed.

Vase1780/4

Green porcelain vase with white interior. A woven grass covering encases the vase: on the neck is open and solid weaving, and on the shoulder (which tapers to the base) are diamond-shaped interlaced strips; the base is solidly covered. The vase itself bears a floral design with birds. There is a round red stamp on the bottom.

Bowl1780/2

A scalloped porcelain bowl on footed base. There is an overall floral design on the outside, and on the inside a band of floral design at the rim, with a black double line under it. The inside bottom has a background of light brown with a small floral design. The base is light brown. There are Japanese inscriptions on the bottom.

A large ceramic vase with dark green glaze outside and brown inside. The bulging body tapers down to a straight upright base and a neck which flares out into an open mouth that has protruding dots around the upper rim. Two head figures with a ring underneath are on opposite sides of the body.

Figure1729/3

Ceramic human figure. Oversized head with large round ears, large mouth, large nose and close set eyes. On top of head is some type of hat. Figure is wearing a yoke-like garment that fits over the shoulders with a skirt underneath. Left arm is missing, while right arm sticks out. Tip of right foot is broken off, while left foot sticks out. Back of figure is flat and devoid of human qualities. Ceramic peg sticks out from back to form a tripod with feet, on which the figure stands.
