Man has dark brown bangs and side burns; incised lines throughout hair. Figure is wearing a hooded parka, short pants, mittens and tall boots. Parka and pants are dark blue; boots and mittens are dark brown. Parka cuffs and hood opening are trimmed with light grey and dark pink; bottom of parka trimmed in dark pink with yellow spots. Figure is hollow; face and base are unglazed. Unsigned.

Stoneware figure of a bird with outstretched wings; two chicks huddled under each wing. Each bird has large carved circles on either side of their face, imitating eyes; beaks are coloured dark brown with rounded tips. All birds have rounded feet with incised lines along the bottom edges, imitating claws. Small tail protrudes from back centre of bird, with lines incised throughout, imitating feathers. Spirals and semi-circles incised along bottom edge on back of bird, imitating ends of feathers. Figure is hollow with an open base. Exterior decorated with speckled glaze; interior undecorated. Artist signature incised along bottom edge of interior.

Stoneware figure of a seal, lying on its stomach. Face consists of protruding circular eyes, snout with imprinted dots throughout, and an open frowning mouth; snout and eyes are painted black. Small foreflippers held against sides of rotund body, large hind flippers extend straight out from back; lines incised along edges of all, imitating digits. Rounded, cone-shaped tail protrudes from between hind flippers. Figure is hollow and base is unglazed; rest of seal is grey-blue with black speckles and highlights throughout. Artist initials incised on base; four holes poked into base above signature.

Small black clay pot with a round bottom. Lip flares out slightly before extending into a straight neck. Shoulder of pot is steep and body is bulbous. The neck and shoulder are decorated with rows of incised triangles; body is decorated with a line of ovals, made up of incised squares. The base has a circle design filled with differently angled lines; all shapes are made up of incised squares.

Circular thumb pot made of black clay. Pot lip flares outward; steep inner walls end in a rounded well. Exterior of pot tapers into a small foot. Two decorative bands circle the lip and base; bands consist of three rows of imprinted triangles. Base is undecorated.

Black clay pot for palm wine. Pot has a braided plant fibre handle; secured with a tie around the neck. Lip flares out slightly before extending into a straight neck. The body bulges outward before tapering into a raised foot. Neck, upper body and lower body are decorated with bands consisting of incised lines with raised rectangles throughout. Wide band wraps around body and is made up of triangles with ovals at the centres; negative space is filled with incised lines with raised rectangles throughout. Foot has an incised wavy line, bordered with imprinted squares, along the bottom edge; base is undecorated.

Small glazed vase with narrow neck and opening. The glaze ranges from beige to dark brown, with the dark brown toward the shoulder and neck; the glaze extends inside to cover the opening. The base is mostly unglazed. The vase has been slightly flattened to form three sides; each side has thicker lines of beige on it. Unsigned.

Vase3503/2

Sculptural vase with large, oval-shaped body. It has a thick-lipped mouth and cylindrical neck, that flares into a rounded shoulder. Vase has a bulbous stem that slopes into a flat, circular base. Sculpture is glazed. Opening and neck are light green with wavy and dotted, vertical lines incised throughout. Between the neck and shoulder is an unglazed band of pink and yellow clay, covering the seam. Shoulder is light pink and covered in matching spikes. Along the bottom edge of the shoulder are moulded flowers, done in dark purple-pink. Body is dark yellow with identical flowers protruding throughout. Stem and foot are dark brown and have dark purple-pink spikes across them. Artist mark stamped on base.
