AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Condiment Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Comments: This is a pickle bottle with "H" and "530" embossed on the base. Seven fragments of one clear glass food bottle with polygon base and wide patent finish. Faceted body up to shoulder. Wide patent finish indicative of bottles holding condiments, oils or other food. Side mold seams extend beyond faceting to mid-neck. Largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43a, second largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43b, third largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43c, fourth fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43d, three smallest fragments bagged together and labeled 45KI765/M-43e. Base has embossed Maker's Mark: 630 H Dried substance on interior and exterior surfaces. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010 Bottle broken into two large pieces and two small pieces in between photography and cataloging at the Burke Museum. There were significant cracks in the bottle which likely caused breakage during movement of the box containing the complete bottle. K. Meyers 06/16/2010

Vertical indentations on shoulder. Makers mark embossed on both short sides. One side reads: "H.J. HEINZ CO." Opposite side reads: "PITTSBURGH, PA" Dried substance inside and outside of bottle. Mold seams include: circular post-bottom seam with two vertical side seams extending up to within 1/2" of bottom of finish. Faceting on shoulder of bottle. Maker's Mark empressed just above heel of bottle: SEATTLE JUANITA 8 - S A B Co Made by American Bottle Company, at the Streator IL plant. Dates are from plant's opening, closing (http://www.myinsulators.com/glass-factories/bottlemarks3.html). Bubbles present in glass. Glass stones in body of bottle. Five fragments of a clear glass medical bottle with round base profile and large-mouth external thread finish. Largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-33a, with smaller fragments labeled alphabetially b-e in order of largest to smallest. Empressed Maker's Mark: VASELINE CHESEEBROUGH NEW YORK Dark brown accretions on exterior. L. Penttila 3/15/2010 Objects delivered to Burke Museum partially intact with clear adhesive tape holding them together. The tape was removed by Julie Dougherty, Burke Museum on 08/17/2010 to prevent further damage.

Gin Bottle, Glass45KI765/M-31

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Whiskey/Liquor Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Decoration: Embossed Comments: The sides of the bottle are embossed with "London England Gordon's Dry Gin" and the base is embossed with a dragon's head. A cut glass stopper is still lodged in the mouth. One clear glass gin bottle with french square base and finish similar to grooved ring except that there is no space between upper and lower ring and the lower ring is flared out at the bottom. Remnants wrapper remain on neck/finish, probably tin. Mold seams are difficult to see. Two vertical seams on both sides of the bottle up the body to the beginning of the wrapper, unable to determine if they extend up finish. Front and back are embossed with the same Maker's Mark: GORDON'S DRY GIN LONDON ENGLAND Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Whiskey/Liquor Neck Finish: Small Mouth External Thread Manufacture Method: Post bottom One clear glass liquor bottle with small mouth external thread finish. Base is similar to plain oval and monarch or erie oval bases with three curved sides and one straight side connected with rounded corners. Mold seams include: horizontal cup-bottom mold seam and two side mold seams extending up to the bottom of the finish. Flask shape indicative of bottles holding liquor. Bubbles present in the glass.
