The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Small marupai charm carved from a dwarf coconut. The nutshell is carved to have a snout with an open mouth on the narrow end. Geometric designs with lines and repeating triangles are etched into the shell, following the shape of the mouth and giving it circular eyes. The carved designs are filled with white clay(?). A short length of twisted cord extends from a hole through the rounded end, and has been tied leaving a small loop.
Small carved-out coconut cup. There is a small carved design on the pointed end, which extends up over the lip. The bowl's interior has scrape marks.
Length of plaited coconut fibre with a short fringe. The fringe is created from thin strips of grass woven into waistband. On each end, the plaited cord thins out once the fringe stops. It appears that some sections of the fringe were originally dyed red or black. A small piece of tape with the collector's number written on it is adhered to the tie.
