Whale tooth on a twisted cord of coconut fibre and mulberry fibre(?). The interior of the cord is a reddish-brown fibre, which is wrapped in greyish-white fibre. The cord runs through a hole bored in the tooth, and is loosely knotted at the ends. A human figure, two feathers or leaves and part of a human face are carved into the polished surface of the tooth.

Head Ornament3254/2

Tassel head ornament (pavahina) on a plaited fibre cord. The tassel consists of many small bunches of greyish-yellow hair bound by twisted strands of coconut fibre. Those bunches are then bound again by coconut fibre into fifteen bunches. The upper ends of the coconut fibre are woven across with undyed fibre and black hair.

Hair Ornament3254/28 a-d

Four bundles of plaited human hair. Each bundle is made of many different cords, bound by fibre or hair. The first bundle (part a) has a collector's tag attached, the second bundle (part b) has looped ends, the third (part c) has a coconut fibre tie in the middle of the bundle, with plaited hair wrapped around itself at the ends, and the fourth (part d) is a small bundle with two ties of plaited hair.

Small woven grass bag with a shallow pouch. The unwoven ends extend down, forming a long fringe. Some blue decorations are attached. Two long plaited cords of coconut fibre(?) are knotted to form a handle. A small piece of tape is adhered to the handle with letters 'I.F.' written on it.

Gourd Carrier3254/15

Gourd carrier of a plaited and twisted coconut fibre. The sling consists of two plaited cords, which are knotted, creating a diamond-shaped pattern. On each side, two small lengths of plaited cord attaches the net to the handle, and each is decorated by a carved bone(?) human figure (tiki). The greyish handle is of twisted fibre, knotted on each end. (Small piece of tape with collector number adhered to handle.)
