Arrow3081/1 a-b

Arrow with a long wooden shaft (part a), tapering slightly and reddening toward nock. Fletching is attached to shaft with wrapped thread and sinew at feather tops and sinew at bottoms. At the opposite end a long, thin bone shaft (part b) with notching along its length is sunk into the wood and secured with wrapped sinew. The point head is cast in copper with serrations along the barb bottoms and is nailed to the bone.

Sash3034/1 a-b

Woolen knit sash with a pouch at the end. Long, thin, knit band in alternating colour blocks of grey, red and black. An open topped pouch is attached to one end at its mouth, with a zigzag pattern knit into one side, and lines into the other of the same alternating colours. The opposite end of the band is attached to the pouch’s side with a thick woolen tie. Inside the pouch is a packet (part b) of 11 coins, all Canadian quarters.

Lantern slide. Rectangular wooden slide holds a round glass plate at centre, surrounded on one side by a copper ring. Plate shows a coloured image printed on glass of the treaty talks between William Penn, founder of the Province of Pennsylvania, and Tamanend, chief of the Lenape Turtle Clan, near what is now Kensington, Pennsylvania. In the foreground is a group of First Nations and European men exchanging gifts. Behind them are several European style houses amongst trees and foliage. A typed paper label reads: "PENN’S TREATY WITH THE INDIANS, 1782".

Lantern slide. Rectangular wooden slide holds a round glass plate at centre, surrounded on one side by a copper ring. Plate shows a monochromatic image printed on glass of a nighttime scene of a town at bottom, with tall architecture, trees, foliage and a river reflecting moonlight. There is a sharp colour separation between this and a dark sky, which holds a crescent moon at top. Paper label reads "Dissolving Views – Aurora No 1".
