Multiple strands of black cylindrical glass beads, strung on commercial white thread. Excess thread is tangled.
Three interconnected strands of orange beads strung on commercial thread. One strand separates briefly into two with yellow beads. Excess fibre is wound loosely around all three strands.
Part a is a make-up case of gold and red thread over blue cloth. There are white and blue beads around the edge and purple tassel. A blue and orange striped string is wound around case to keep closed. The case is lined with red printed cloth and covered by a wrapping cloth (811/13). Part b is an applicator stick, wooden and cylindrical. Part c is a small square of a shiny, silver-coloured substance (mica?). Part d is a package of a black substance wrapped in white paper and tied with string.
White silk cloth embroidered with birds, butterflies, flowers, stems, leaves, insects and crab in green, blue, pink, yellow, purple and gold metallic thread. The bottom of the textile is gold metallic thread embroidered scrolled wave design in black with blue silk background. Green loop at top. Reverse is pink cotton.
Large rectangular turban cloth made from a gauze-like cotton fibre. Cloth is hemmed along two shortest ends, with a pink stripe around the border (several pinstripes added along shortest sides). Purple circular stamp mark and numerical(?) pen markings on one side. Vertical seam up the middle. Rough, uneven side edges.
Strip of Kente cloth fashioned from three long woven bands sewn together to form a quilt-like pattern of brightly coloured rectangles. Patterns include horizontal and vertical stripes, as well as various geometric designs such as zigzags and diamonds. Textile is woven using different types of thread and weaving techniques. Vertical edges are frayed, and side edges are uneven.
Female tuxw'id puppet with cotton-stuffed white cloth body and carved wooden head, hands and feet. Unsewn strips of red fabric are tied around her neck, wrists and ankles. The face is marked by brightly painted red lips, black pupils and thick painted black eyebrows. Coarse black hair extends in tufts from holes covering the top and back of the head. It has been braided and secured with a hair elastic.
