Tool Holder1779/15

Canvas tool holder with a hemmed upper edge; the other three sides are bound with twill tape. There are two pieces of twill on the left side that extend from the object. Covering one third of the holder is a strip of canvas at lower edge, sewn in vertical lines creating twelve, rectangular pockets.

Wall Hanging1768/110

Rectangular Salish style weaving with a dark brown geometric pattern in stepped diamond design and four grey-brown triangles at the edges. One end has a woven cord sewn along its length, ending in short tassels.

Eagle Amhalait1791/1 a-f

Round, gold pendant (part a) on a gold chain (part b). The pendant has a three-dimensional design of an eagle face with blue abalone eyes, and is framed by flat pieces of abalone shell all the way around the outside of the face. The pendant came in a rectangular hand-made wooden box (part c) with a lid (d). The top of the lid has silver clasps for lifting, while the underside has silver hooks for displaying the pendant. There is also a purple velvet pillow (part e) inside the box for storing the pendant and a purple velvet bag (part f) that fits over the outside of the box.

Berry Basket1792/1

Small, rectangular coiled basket with handles. Basket has rounded corners. Fibre handles are tied to three leather loops, two on one side and one on the other, which are threaded through basket sides and tied inside. Three bands of geometric design in red-brown, black and light brown encircle the basket body.

Headband1747/2

Headband made of red felt with a blue cotton(?) edging consisting of a horizontal band around the back enlarging into a slightly scalloped triangular shape in the front where it is decorated with a beaded light green, white, and light blue flower design. Five leaf-shaped off-white shells are sewn onto the band with two on each side and one in the centre of the flower design. Three rows of light blue beads, each ending with a long white conical bead, mark the two corners where the band grows triangular, and the edges of the blue border are emphasized by a row of white beads.

Black glass beads and metal necklace with metal pendant. Double strands of beads are divided into sections by eight metal cylinders and pendant. Pendant is a ring with a circular flat base and three protuberances. Clasp is a single bead with threaded loop.

Bridegroom's Boots2503/2 a-b

Pair of black cotton boots with quilted silk lining. Short opening at back. Leather loops on front threaded through two holes and knotted on inside. Piping on front, back and sides. Lower edges of boots trimmed with leather. Soles sewed on. Part (a) has five studs on sole and two pieces of masking tape with writing, attached to lining. Part (b) has four studs on sole.
