Wolf Headdress1768/75

Wooden wolf headdress. Series of carved scallops with painted black circles in each segment run down from over the eyes to bottom of headdress. Flat slanted snout nailed on. Black carved eyebrows. Wide red teeth. Black circle eyes outlined in red, designs in black, red, green over yellow-white face. Obituary notice from newspaper pasted on inside of headdress.

Wolf Headdress1768/74

Wooden wolf headdress. Front is narrower than back and nailed to sides. Carved strips representing teeth screwed into inside of jaw. Back of mask decorated with curved loops. Top has sealion whiskers inserted into small holes. Snout represented by circular protuberance at each side and nostils are painted black and red. Large eyes painted at each side and background filled in with red linear designs.

Vest1700/2

Gray woven panel vest. The panels are woven from gray fabric with white, black, blue, red and green pieces and edged with gray trim. The vest is made of two long woven panels, folded over at the shoulders. The panels are stitched together up the back and hang open at the front. The front and back panels are connected at the sides with two gray bands. The upper back is reinforced with a woven square stitched in place.

Cushion Cover1730/16

Square, skin cushion cover. Fringe of different lengths along all four sides. Along edges between fringe and painting is a strip of skin laced through cover to attach cotton backing to front. Painted, incised design on front of a thunderbird, with outstretched wings, atop a Sisiutl. Middle of Sisiutl is painted with the face of a human figure.

Box1730/15

Rectangular wooden box with hinges and a lock. Lid of box has a painted eagle on it with outstretched wings and abalone eye. Small circles of abalone are inlaid around all four edges of lid. Painted on front of box, below lock, are an eagle and two beavers. On either end of box are small handles. One side handle has a string tied around it with two small keys (for lock) attached to it. Inside box is a cotton batting like material attached to inside of lid and bottom of box.

Hat with wide flared brim, a slight peak at the centre of the crown, an inner headband and cotton ties. The crown is painted with two ovoid eye shapes and two black and red tail shapes. The brim has a black and red expansive motif and a red band at the edge.

The main concentric abstract design is consisting of a eight wheel spokes connecting a central hole to an eight-petalled design, surrounded by a very open line design, surrounded by a two-row band, surrounded by a zig zag design, surrounded by a sixteen-petalled scallop design that forms the outer rim.

A hand made circular lace doily. The main concentric abstract design is consisting of a central hole surrounded by eight petal-like holes, surrounded by eight crocheted petal-like shapes with eight five-sided holes at the outer sections of these petals. Then more loosely crocheted design around the outer circumference, which is circular with sixteen crocheted protuberances, each made of three crocheted loops.
